At Gordonbrock, science is a dynamic journey where pupils are encouraged to wonder about the world around them and beyond. They engage with science by regularly working scientifically—asking questions, making observations, performing tests, identifying and classifying, and using gathered data to suggest answers. Through hands-on enquiry and exploration, pupils build a solid foundation of increasingly complex knowledge, developing a deep understanding of scientific principles.
We strive to make science relevant and meaningful, connecting concepts to pupils’ everyday lives and the broader world. By exploring real-world problems and engaging in collaborative investigation, pupils learn to see science as a powerful tool for innovation, problem-solving, and discovery. Our goal is to inspire a lifelong curiosity about the natural world and to equip pupils with the critical thinking skills and scientific literacy needed to navigate and shape the future.
